Engineering and Sustainable Technology Management - Mobility and Automotive Industry

With our Berlin-based master in engineering, you will deepen your understanding of automotive engineering, always with sustainability in mind. 

You gain an in-depth insight into current topics such as autonomous driving, alternative drive concepts, assistance systems and new sales and business concepts in e-mobility. At the same time, you learn how to design and operate mobility and automotive systems using the latest technologies while driving innovation and sustainable economic success.

In addition, you receive the “Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certificate Program (SMSCP)” certification at level 1-3.

Product design - Car design

Our degree programme combines Car Design, Mobile Device Design and Medical Product Design 🚗📱🏥 and gives you the ability to develop innovative product solutions for a wide range of applications.

You will acquire in-depth knowledge of design fundamentals, form and design, visual communication and digital methods such as CAD, prototyping and 3D printing. At the same time, we attach great importance to sustainable, inclusive and responsible design 🌱 so that you develop products that are not only functional and aesthetic, but also future-proof.

During your studies, you can specialise in specific areas:

  • In the Product Design - Automotive Design 🚘 specialisation, the focus is on vehicle concepts, exterior and interior design as well as future-oriented mobility solutions.
  • In the Product Design - Industrial Design 🏭 specialisation, you will develop innovative consumer and capital goods, from technical products to medical applications.

Practical relevance takes centre stage: in studio projects, internships and interdisciplinary work, you will apply your knowledge directly and develop independent product concepts. The international, English-language study environment optimally prepares you for a career in global design markets. 🌍✨

You can apply anytime through our application portal on our website. Once you submit your application, your documents will be carefully reviewed. You’ll be invited to a personal interview if you meet the admission requirements. After the interview, you’ll receive your letter of acceptance and your study contract. Once all formalities are completed, you’ll get your official letter of admission and be welcomed during Welcome Week to begin your studies.

Our intake periods are usually in April and October, with our biggest intake in October. Our brochure has detailed information on when your desired programme starts.

The study fees vary by programme. When you fill out our form (link to form), you will receive a brochure highlighting all the essential information concerning your chosen study programme, including the relevant fees.
