Our photography Bachelor’s programme in the creative capital of Berlin is the perfect launching pad for your life behind the lens.
Whether film or digital, our modern studios, darkrooms and workstations for digital editing offer the ideal environment for you to develop your own individual image style.
This study programme prepares you for traditional photography roles in photojournalism, fashion or product photography.
Alternatively, you may start a career in new visual media fields such as CGI, virtual and augmented reality, Stereo3D or 360 x 180°.
You wish to hone your photographic vision? Then our Photography Master’s programme is perfect for you! Choose between the programme with 90 ECTS or 120 ECTS depending on your already-acquired ECTS in your Bachelor's.
You’ll learn to sharpen your critical eye and dive into the history of image as a medium – all whilst shaping your career path as a professional photographer and artist.
The M.A. in Photography will expand your stylistic range and take your skills to new heights. You’ll be prepared to step into roles as an artistic photographer, editor or art director. You can apply anytime through our application portal on our website. Once you submit your application, your documents will be carefully reviewed. You’ll be invited to a personal interview if you meet the admission requirements. After the interview, you’ll receive your letter of acceptance and your study contract. Once all formalities are completed, you’ll get your official letter of admission and be welcomed during Welcome Week to begin your studies.
Our intake periods are usually in April and October, with our biggest intake in October. Our brochure has detailed information on when your desired programme starts.
The study fees vary by programme. When you fill out our form, you will receive a brochure highlighting all the essential information concerning your chosen study programme, including the relevant fees.
