What you'll learn
More and more clinical facilities and therapeutic centers are relying on evidence-based creative therapy methods. The Music Therapy program spans two years and includes an intensive internship phase, allowing you to apply your knowledge directly.

You will learn to use music purposefully for the therapeutic treatment of people in a variety of life situations. At our university, practice, teaching, and research are closely interconnected, enabling you to become a skilled music therapist with solid expertise and diverse applications. 🌟
The Master’s program in Music Therapy provides you with scientific foundations, methodological expertise, and profession-specific qualifications, preparing you for practical work in clinical, therapeutic, or special education contexts. At the same time, the program opens pathways to research and doctoral studies.
Additionally, independent practice in your own studio is possible in Germany under the Heilpraktikergesetz (with a separate examination). Please note that certifications and legal requirements vary internationally, and in Germany, German language proficiency at level B2 is generally required.
