Shaping sound, transcending traditions
The 6-semester Bachelor's degree programme creates a broad foundation in artistic practice and research, in teaching and self-management. In addition to the musical/sound practice that students bring with them and should continue to deepen during their studies, the programme focuses on interdisciplinary, trans-traditional artistic practices, aesthetics and research.
The focus is on students' own artistic work in cross-traditional, cross-genre and cross-disciplinary contexts: as artistic-aesthetic-creative as well as performative sound design - explicitly including analogue, digital, intermodal and installative sound practices. In all complementary subjects (history, music theory, aesthetics, aural training, instrumental studies, etc.), a culturally differentiated historical-critical global perspective is taught, in which different sound and music traditions and cultures are aesthetically equivalent and relevant.
Our range of study programmes in Music is very diverse. Let yourself be inspired.
