Psychology of power - data, feelings, behaviour

Impulse: Prof Dr Carsten C. Schermuly

Moderation: Prof Dr Franziska Schölmerich

The term power often has negative connotations in German-speaking countries and is taboo in companies because people are uncomfortable with the topic and often lack adequate vocabulary and speaking experience. As a result, power remains in a dirty corner and can continue to operate on the backstage of a company. In our event, we shed light on what power is and how power affects people. We will analyse how power becomes effective in organisational transformations and how power can be used positively. The event will be underpinned by current data from the New Work Barometer. This will increase our ability to speak and expand the options for action in organisations.
