Access requirements in detail

Proof of basic knowledge in the field of dysphagia

You must demonstrate basic knowledge of dysphagia. This can be done through one of the following options:

  • Proof of studies: Proof of relevant courses or lectures on dysphagia in the bachelor's degree programme (proven by transcript of records or module descriptions).
  • Professional experience: at least six months of practical experience with dysphagic patients in a medical, therapeutic or scientific environment (proven by references or an official employer certificate).
  • Further education and training: Participation in dysphagia-specific further training, workshops or certification courses (evidenced by certificates or certificates of attendance with details of content and duration).
  • Scientific work: Completion of a bachelor's thesis or other scientific work with a dysphagia focus (evidenced by a copy of the table of contents and a summary of the work).

Language Proficiency

Non-native English-speaking applicants must provide proof of English proficiency at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) through one of the following:

  • TOEFL, IELTS, or an equivalent certification
  • Completion of a higher education degree in an English-language programme 

If the formal qualifications are not clearly assignable, the programme director reserves the right to invite applicants for an individual academic interview. The purpose of this interview is to assess the applicant’s subject knowledge and motivation for the programme.

We do not have any application deadlines. This is what your application process looks like:

  • If you are interested in the Master's degree programme in Dysphagia Management, you can send us your application easily and conveniently online.
  • If you have any technical difficulties with the online application or if you have any questions about your application, your contact person will be happy to help you.
  • If you fulfil the admission requirements, we will invite you to a selection process.
  • If you are successful in the selection process, you will receive an acceptance letter and a study contract from us.
  • You sign the study contract and send it back to us.
  • You pay the enrolment fee.
  • If you come from a non-EU country, you will pay your tuition fee one semester in advance in addition to the registration fee. From the second semester onwards, payments for the remaining semesters are due six weeks before the end of the study period you have already paid for.
  • We will send you your letter of admission.
  • You take part in our Startklar days - and off you go with your studies!
