Online live study: your flexible and practical degree programme with a future

With the online live study programme at SRH University, you combine the advantages of online study with the strengths of face-to-face study. This allows you to remain flexible, interactive and always in direct contact with your lecturers and fellow students.

How the online live study programme works

The online live study programme is a modern study model that combines online courses in real time with selected attendance phases on campus.

  • Live instead of recorded: The online events take place on fixed dates - so you are actively involved, can ask questions and benefit from discussions in the group without having to come to campus.
  • On-campus attendance phases: Practical exercises, workshops and personal dialogue await you here, bringing your studies to life.
  • Flexible proportion depending on the degree programme: Depending on which degree programme you choose, the mix of online and face-to-face teaching varies - always in line with your learning objectives.

This allows you to combine the flexibility of an online degree programme with the personal learning experience of face-to-face study.

Your advantages in the online live study programme

  • Study wherever you want - take part online and save yourself long journeys. Whether on the sofa or in the office - you decide!
  • Perfect for work and study - especially in the Master's programme, you can work while you study and gain valuable practical experience.
  • Interactive and approachable - direct questions, discussions and teamwork make learning lively.
  • Practical and personal - attendance phases on campus bring you together with lecturers and fellow students.
  • Structure and motivation - fixed deadlines ensure a clear learning rhythm and help you stay on the ball.
  • Skills development in both worlds - you train digital collaboration in online formats and strengthen your face-to-face and soft skills on campus at the same time.

Your questions about the online live study programme

The number and duration of the attendance phases depend on the respective degree programme. As a rule, there are several compact block dates per semester, which are deliberately scheduled so that they can be easily combined with work and everyday life. You can find more detailed information directly in the description of your desired degree programme.

There is no formal obligation to participate. However, we strongly recommend that you attend the face-to-face sessions. They are a valuable opportunity to make personal contacts, network and build practical skills that are more difficult to convey in a purely online setting.

This also varies depending on the degree programme. Some courses take place on fixed study days, others in block weeks or in the evening. What they all have in common is that the live online sessions run at fixed times in real time, so you can actively participate, ask questions and join in the discussion. Time-delayed participation is not possible as the sessions are not recorded.

Yes – your degree is equivalent to a ‘normal’ classroom-based degree. The content, examinations and degrees are identical, regardless of whether you study in the online live model or exclusively in the classroom.

In the online live model, you benefit from the same content, the same quality and the same personal support as in face-to-face studies – only with more flexibility. Our lecturers are there for you live, you can ask questions, participate in discussions and be part of an active learning group. This allows you to combine the advantages of campus studies with the freedom to organise your everyday student life regardless of your location.
