Welcome to the Student Health Management (SGM)

Together we create a healthy, active and mindful campus. Our goal is to support you in your daily study life by showing ways to keep body, mind and community in balance.

Whether workshops, talks or projects – here you will find everything that strengthens you.

Four people in a meeting room are giving each other high-fives to celebrate team spirit and collaboration.

Our project at a glance

Since October 2024, we have been implementing our SGM project at the Hamm Campus together with Techniker Krankenkasse (TK).

The goal is to further develop health promoting structures at our university over a period of three years in order to strengthen the wellbeing of all students.

With offers related to physical activity, nutrition, mental health and campus life, we create space for exchange, mindfulness and shared growth.

News & Updates

Our peer to peer systemic counselling offer is aimed at students who would like support in challenging situations – from students for students.

The counselling helps you recognise strengths, gain new perspectives and develop your own solutions.

Whether you are facing important decisions, recurring patterns or times of change – the offer is confidential and free of charge. Book an appointment here – confidential and free.

We, the SGM team, are not only your contacts for health projects but also trained MHFA first aiders (Mental Health First Aid).

Since 2025, we have been working to ensure that conversations about mental health become a natural part of campus life so that no one has to deal with difficulties alone.

We are specially trained to provide initial support and guidance – respectfully, openly and discreetly.

The offer is available to all members of the university – students, staff and teaching staff. You can get in touch directly here.
