Tips for finding a flat

Here are a few tips:

Please allow sufficient time (approx. 1-2 months) to find accommodation.
For the initial period, we recommend looking for a hotel/hostel and/or short-term accommodation for a few months, for example.
Please also use the FB group to look for accommodation and flatmates.

Important information:

As our university is not a member of the "Studentenwerk", you cannot apply for a place in their halls of residence.
Our university supports you in your search for accommodation, but does not provide any specific offers.

Registering your place of residence

Within 14 days of moving in, you must register with the relevant registration office in Heidelberg. It is advisable to book an appointment online while you are still looking for accommodation, as appointments are often fully booked weeks in advance.

The SRH Campus Apartments

Around the SRH Campus in Heidelberg-Wieblingen, we offer young trainees and students accommodation at favourable rental conditions. A total of 596 one-bedroom flats are available.

The Wieblingen district is located in the west of Heidelberg on the left bank of the Neckar. Here you live in a quiet and central location. You will find sports facilities, cafés and our canteen, the Cube, right on our SRH Campus. Shopping facilities as well as bus and train stops are in the immediate vicinity. The Neckar river is just a few minutes' walk away and you can reach Heidelberg's romantic old town centre in just ten minutes by bike. And last but not least, it's only a few minutes' walk from your flat to the university or the library: welcome to campus!

Wieblingen is located in the western part of Heidelberg on the left bank of the Neckar River.
The apartments are within walking distance of the SRH Campus, which offers: Sports facilities, Cafés, Cafeteria “Cube”
Shops, bus stops, and train stations are nearby.
The Neckar River is just a few minutes away on foot.
Heidelberg’s historic Old Town can be reached by bike in about 10 minutes.
Short walk to the university and library.
