Living in Leipzig - central, diverse, well-connected

Leipzig is an ideal place for students to live. The city offers numerous housing options, from cosy rooms in shared flats to modern halls of residence. You benefit from Leipzig's good infrastructure, which guarantees fast connections to all parts of the city, so you can enjoy your student life to the full.

Tips for finding a flat

Here are a few tips:

  • Please allow sufficient time (approx. 1-2 months) to find accommodation.
  • For the initial period, we recommend looking for a hotel/hostel and/or short-term accommodation for a few months, for example.
  • Please also use the FB group to look for accommodation and flatmates.

Important information:

  • As our university is not a member of the "Studentenwerk", you cannot apply for a place in their halls of residence.
  • Our university supports you in your search for accommodation, but does not arrange any specific offers.

Registration of residence:

Within 14 days of moving in, you must register with the relevant registration office in Leipzig. It is advisable to book an appointment online while you are still looking for accommodation, as appointments are often fully booked weeks in advance.

Private student rooms and flats

  • BaseCamp Students
    The hall of residence is located directly opposite, just 100 metres from the campus. As we cooperate with BaseCamp, you are welcome to contact us if you would like to book a room there.
  • FOCUS homes
    FOCUS homes offers fully furnished student flats with all-inclusive rent and Wi-Fi. These flats are located 1 km from campus.
  • Lumis Living
    Lumis Living offers modern, fully furnished studio flats in Leipzig city centre - about 3 km from campus. The flats are designed to foster a community among students and young professionals and offer a vibrant and diverse living environment.
  • Felixx student Leipzig
    Felixx student Leipzig rents out fully furnished flats with TV and WiFi. They have three locations, all about 6 km from Campus Leipzig.
  • The Hood
    The flats are located about 3 km from the campus. The Hood offers fully furnished flats with a laundry room that can be used for a fee.
  • STAY TOO
    STAY TOO is located 3.5 km from campus, but is easily accessible by public transport. They offer furnished rooms with a communal laundry room and a chill-out area.
  • Student flats Leipzig
    Flats are offered at two different locations - 1.5 km and 2 km from campus. All flats are fully furnished.
  • Mondial Campus
    Mondial Campus offers fully furnished flats in three different sizes at various locations in Leipzig. In some buildings the bed is rented without a mattress.
  • Uniplaces
    Uniplaces is a search platform for private or shared rooms and flats.
  • Habyt
    Habyt is a search platform for furnished private rooms and flats.
