Tips for Finding Accommodation

Here are some helpful tips for your search:

  • Please allow sufficient time (approx. 2-3 months) for your housing search.
  • We recommend choosing a hotel, hostel, or other short-term accommodation (e.g., for a few months) for the initial period, if necessary.

Important information:

  • Since our university is not a member of the "Studentenwerk," you are unfortunately not eligible to apply for their specific student dormitories.
  • Our university provides general support and guidance for your housing search, but we do not mediate or provide specific housing offers.

Residence Registration

Within 14 days of moving in, you must register with the local registration authority (“Meldebehörde”) in Munich. It is therefore advisable to book an appointment online while still searching for accommodation, as these are often fully booked several weeks in advance.
