Students on the International Business and Engineering (M.Eng.) programme are investigating various energy supply alternatives for Wiltmann as part of the ‘Energy and Sustainability’ module.
The increase in natural gas prices is motivating more and more companies to think about alternative energy supplies. This is also the case at Franz Wiltmann GmbH & Co. KG, which is constantly working to reduce its energy consumption, emissions, waste water and waste.
As part of the "Energy and Sustainability" module, students on the International Business and Engineering (M.Eng.) programme were therefore given the task of designing energy concepts for Wiltmann that improve cost efficiency on the one hand and reduce the environmental impact on the other. To this end, various energy supply alternatives are to be analysed technically, economically, ecologically and in terms of social acceptance, and energy roadmaps are to be drawn up.
