Healthy engagement against loneliness in old age – needs assessment
Brief description
Loneliness in old age can not only make people mentally ill, but also physically. The Fürth Volunteer Centre (FZF) therefore offers the "Time for Neighbours" visiting service. In recent years, however, it has become increasingly difficult to find and support senior citizens who request this service. An accompanying study is currently being conducted with the senior citizens and volunteers. One of the aims of the study is to identify success factors and develop a catalogue of criteria for optimising future placements.
