MIRAKEL - A mixed-reality and trustworthy AI-based assistance system for assessing the value of anthropogenic stocks and the costs of resource recovery processes in the circular economy

Logo of MIRAKEL featuring a stylized house and two arrows symbolizing a recycling process.

Brief description

For urban mining to become an industry standard, deconstruction processes and the reuse of building components from existing buildings must be economically viable and practically applicable. MIRAKEL addresses this challenge by improving data availability, standardising pre-deconstruction assessments, and enabling early evaluation of reuse and recycling potential, as well as associated costs and environmental impacts.
The project develops a prototype digital assistance system for professionals across the entire circular construction value chain, supported by artificial intelligence and mixed reality technologies.
