Professor for Sustainability and Product Lifecycle Assessment, Engineering, International Business - Focus on Renewable Energy, Water and Waste Management
My research focuses on biomass valorization through sustainable conversion technologies, including pyrolysis, hydrothermal carbonization, humification, and fulvification processes. My work aims to develop environmentally friendly approaches for waste utilization, carbon sequestration, nutrient recovery, and circular economy applications. In addition, I specialize in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and carbon footprint analysis to evaluate the environmental performance and sustainability of emerging technologies and industrial systems.
