Rehabilitation with virtual reality (VR)
Here our mind presents itself in completely different realities, is the mind for the mind, so to speak. Finding your way back into everyday life after a stroke or accident: Julian, with Barbara founder of Living Brain, knows this problem from his own experience. Both studied business psychology at the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Heidelberg. Julian already had recurrent seizures when he was younger, and when he was 20 years old, doctors told him that brain surgery could help, but that he could lose his cognitive abilities as a result. He was lucky: he didn't suffer any neuronal deficits after the operation, but his idea was born: rehabilitation should be possible using more modern methods than pen and paper. As a result, Barbara and he had the idea to found their company back in 2017 during their studies: his VR glasses support neuro-rehabilitation in a playful, science-based and authentic way.
