We want to support young people in developing their talents. By awarding SRH Scholarships for Talented Students, SRH University supports young students whose families are unable to support their studies or can only support them to a very limited extent.

SRH Scholarships for talented pupils or students

The scholarship can be awarded to outstanding pupils and students (1st year of Bachelor's degree).

If you would like to apply for this scholarship, you should meet the following admission requirements:

  • Matriculation (first year of study) or regular application for a degree program at SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg (all locations). You should meet the university entrance requirements and admission criteria for this program. Dual degree programs are excluded from funding.
  • Excellent academic performance (up to and including 1.5)
  • Social commitment desirable

The following documents are required for the application:

  • Letter of motivation for the scholarship
  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher or university lecturer in the relevant subject area
  • Current CV
  • School leaving certificate
  • Current transcript of records from your previous studies (if applicable)
  • School leaving certificate
  • Certificate of enrollment or signed study contract for applicants from EEA countries* or final admission letter for applicants from non-EEA countries**
  • Proof of the scholarship category (e.g., birth certificate, concept paper, etc.)
  • If applicable, proof of special qualifications for the program (e.g., evidence of civic or social commitment, special skills, language certificates, awards, stays abroad, certificates of relevant internships, vocational training certificates, etc.)
  • If applicable, reasons that have made your previous educational history more difficult or hindering, e.g., financial or family difficulties Disability, first-time academic, etc.

*For applicants from EEA countries: Please note that you must upload the signed study contract and the enrolment fee must be paid before the meeting of the scholarship committee (mid-October for the winter semester).

**For applicants from non-EEA countries: You can apply with the Pre Admission Letter. However, you must have the Final Admission Letter (fees must be paid) before the Scholarship Committee meets and decides on the award of the scholarship (mid-October for the winter semester). If you are awarded the scholarship, the tuition fees you have already paid will be refunded.

The application period for the winter semester 2025/26 starts on Tuesday, July 15 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on Thursday, August 14 at 11:59 p.m.

The scholarship is a full scholarship. This means that your tuition fees during the standard period of study will be waived.

How to apply for a Scholarship

Please submit your application via our application portal. This portal will be activated for submissions for the winter semester 2025/26 from July 15 to August 14. Submissions are not possible outside of the application period. When submitting your application documents, please note that only complete, timely, and correctly submitted applications can be considered for scholarship award.
