We want to support young people in developing their talents. By awarding SRH Scholarships for talented pupils and Bachelor students in their first year of study, SRH University supports young students whose families are unable to support their studies or can only support them to a very limited extent.

SRH Scholarships for talented pupils or students

The scholarship is awarded to outstanding pupils and bachelor’s degree students in their first year of study (first or second semester of the bachelor’s program at the start of the funding period).

If you would like to apply for this scholarship, you should meet the following admission requirements:

  • Matriculation (first year of study) or regular application for a degree program at SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg (all locations). You should meet the university entrance requirements and admission criteria for this program. 
  • Excellent academic performance (up to and including 1.5)
  • Social commitment desirable
  • Letter of motivation for the scholarship
  • ONE letter of recommendation from a school teacher, a university lecturer, or a professor from the respective field of study
  • Current curriculum vitae (CV)
  • School-leaving certificate (for first-year students with less than 30 ECTS earned at SRH)
  • If applicable, a current overview of grades from your previous studies
  • If applicable, certificate of a first university degree
  • Certificate of enrolment or signed study contract for applicants from EEA countries* or Letter of Acceptance for applicants from non-EEA countries**
  • If applicable, proof of special qualifications for the studies (e.g. proof of social engagement, special skills, language certificates, awards, experience abroad, certificates of internships relevant to the studies, certificates of vocational training, etc.).
  • If applicable, reasons that make it difficult or pose special challenges for your studies, e.g. financial or family difficulties, disabilities, first-time academic, etc.

*For applicants from EEA countries: Please note that you must upload the signed study contract and the enrollment fee must be paid before the scholarship committee meeting (mid-September for the winter semester). 

**For applicants from non-EEA countries: You can apply with the Letter of Acceptance. However, your fees must be paid before the scholarship committee meets and decides on the allocation of the scholarship

The application period for the winter semester 2026/2027 begins on Monday, 1 June 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, 30 June 2026 at 11:59 p.m. You can apply via the Scholarship application portal. This is an external portal, and you will need to create an account.

When submitting your application, please note that only complete applications submitted by the deadline will be considered for the scholarship.

The scholarship is a full scholarship. This means for you: You do not have to pay tuition fees from the beginning of the funding period and until the remaining standard period of study.
