Get to know SRH University

At the Workshop Day at SRH Campus Berlin, prospective students will have the opportunity to explore the campus, get a feel for student life, and experience a range of degree programmes in a practical and inspiring way. Following a joint welcome session and a campus tour, participants can join a variety of workshops that offer first-hand insights into different subjects, methods, and creative ways of working.

Whether you are interested in design, writing, music, film, brand development, spatial design, or creative management and strategy, Workshop Day offers exciting introductions to selected Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. It is not just about watching — it is about taking part, trying things out, and connecting directly with professors, lecturers, and programme directors.

What visitors can expect

  • 1:00–1:30 pm: Welcome to Workshop Day
  • 1:00–1:50 pm: Campus tour
  • from 2:00 pm: Workshops in various study programmes

Workshop highlights

Visitors can look forward to a wide range of hands-on experiences, including:

  • B.A. Communication Design / B.A. Illustration
    In the collaborative risograph workshop “Black Cat – White Tom”, participants will create experimental posters and prints by combining typography, drawing, photography, and collage-based design elements.
  • B.A. Creative Writing and Copywriting
    In the writing workshop “Using Chance”, participants will use playful methods to develop first ideas, characters, and stories while also gaining insights into the degree programme and its creative possibilities.
  • M.A. Strategic Design
    The workshop “Bridging Design and Strategy” offers an interactive introduction to the Master’s programme and shows how design and strategy can come together to address social, economic, and ecological challenges creatively.
  • B.A. Music Production / B.A. Popular Music
    Under the title “The future of music production and music business”, this workshop explores current developments in the music industry, future technologies, and the role of artificial intelligence in music production and business.
  • B.A. Film and Television
    The workshop “From Idea to Moving Image” introduces one of the key directing skills in filmmaking: breaking down a scene into shots and understanding how visual storytelling creates emotion, tension, and meaning.
  • B.A. Creative Industries Management
    In the workshop “Interviewing and Interview Training”, participants will learn how to ask the right questions, guide conversations confidently, and present themselves effectively in interview situations.
  • B.A. Advertising and Brand Design
    In the interactive workshop “How to design a brand – Introduction to brand design”, prospective students will develop their own brand for an innovative drink — from the initial idea to the branding concept and packaging design.
  • B.A. Interior Design and Scenography
    The workshop “Fundamentals of Design” focuses on spatial perception, atmosphere, and the conscious experience of space. Observations made on campus will be turned into a small creative presentation.

The programme will also include further offers from Web Development, User Experience Design, and Creative Industries Management, with more details to follow.
