One year after its merger, SRH University can look back on a positive year with around 3,300 new students from 120 countries who started their studies in the winter semester 2025/26. On 1 October 2024, the five universities of SRH, one of the largest education and healthcare companies in Germany, merged to form SRH University. With growth of around 15 per cent compared to the previous year, it is now closer to its goal of positioning itself optimally for the future in the national and international university sector, both professionally and economically. New perspectives will also be opened up to students in the future.

"A year ago, we pooled our experience and expertise to embark on a common path as SRH University. With our combined strength, we can not only offer our students an expanded portfolio of degree programmes, but also even more flexibility at all our locations," reports Managing Director Dr Thorsten Bagschik.

New degree programmes, new campus

SRH University offers over 200 Bachelor's, Master's and MBA programmes in German and English at 18 locations across Germany. In the winter semester 2025/26, internationally oriented management programmes are once again particularly popular, as are technical degree programmes such as Computer Science (B.Sc.) or Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.). Among the German-language programmes, there is still high demand for Psychology and Business Administration as well as for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Physician Assistant, which specifically address the shortage of skilled workers in the healthcare sector.

In addition to the established programmes, a number of new courses were also launched in October, such as the part-time Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a focus on Respiratory Therapy at the Fürth campus and the Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Business at the Berlin campus. In addition, the new SRH Campus Munich was also opened for the first time with over 140 students on degree programmes such as the dual Bachelor's degree in International Tourism and Event Management. With the Dorian Gray Studios, this campus has state-of-the-art recording studios where productions have already been made with renowned artists such as Konstantin Wecker, Joe Cocker and Alanis Morissette. In future, students in the field of music production and audio design will also be trained here at the highest level in a practice-orientated manner.

Another special innovation is the introduction of the online live model in selected degree programmes, which combines online courses in real time with on-campus attendance times. The online courses take place on fixed dates so that students are actively involved in teaching in line with SRH's CORE principle, which emphasises interactive and skills-oriented learning. Attendance phases on campus offer practical exercises and workshops as well as the opportunity for networking.

Outlook

With the successful start to the winter semester, SRH University is consistently looking to the future: in addition to continuously expanding its portfolio, the university is specifically addressing market trends such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence while developing specialised programmes that respond precisely to the requirements of various industries.

"It is our responsibility to prepare young people from all over the world for the global challenges of an increasingly networked working world - in established professional fields as well as in dynamically growing future fields," concludes Prof Dr Victoria Büsch, Rector of SRH University.
