SRH University and the international hospitality group Accor are intensifying their collaboration in the training of future professionals: with immediate effect, SRH University is a Preferred Partner of Accor in Germany for dual study programmes. The aim of the partnership is to attract qualified talent to the hotel industry, provide practice-oriented education, and prepare students specifically for the demands of a dynamic sector.

As part of the cooperation, dual students at SRH University gain direct access to practical placements in Accor hotels and establishments across Germany. Academic study and practical experience are closely integrated. Students acquire extensive professional experience during their studies and develop the competencies required for specialist and managerial roles in hospitality.

The partnership reflects SRH University’s commitment to aligning its academic programmes closely with labour market requirements and real-world professional contexts. At the same time, it highlights the growing importance of dual study models in securing skilled professionals in service- and customer-oriented industries.

“The strategic partnership with Accor underlines the high importance of dual study models for sustainable talent development in hospitality. We consistently combine academic qualification with real operational requirements, thereby creating robust career prospects for our students,” says Prof. Dr Carolin Steinhauser (SRH University).

“Securing qualified young talent is a key challenge for the future of our industry. With SRH University, we are working with an academic partner that consistently delivers on practice integration, competence orientation, and quality in education. This enables us to identify talent early, support it in a targeted way, and retain it for the long term at Accor,” explains Sabrina Westphälinger, Vice President People & Culture DACH and Premium ENA at Accor.

Through this partnership, both institutions are strengthening their shared commitment to high-quality, practice-oriented educational offerings in the hospitality sector. At the same time, the collaboration sends a clear signal about the close connection between academic qualification and professional practice in an industry that relies heavily on well-trained young professionals.
