Please go through the following points step by step to rule out the most common sources of error.

First steps to resolve login issues on E-Campus
🔗 1. The correct approach
Are you using the official and current E-Campus address?
Out-of-date bookmarks or Google search results may lead to error messages.
🔑 2. Login instructions & user details

The login process is directly linked to your Microsoft 365 account.
Select the correct button
- Students & staff:
Click on the ‘Student/Staff Login’ button - Administrative staff:
Click on the ‘Administrative Staff Login’ button.
Format of login details
Please ensure you enter your username correctly:
- Students:
- Username: [email protected]
- Password: Your personal Microsoft 365 password
- External lecturers:
- Username: [email protected]
- Password: Your personal Microsoft 365 password
Your login consists of your student number followed by the ‘@’ symbol.
- In-house lecturers:
- Username: [email protected]
- Password: Your personal Microsoft 365 password

🛡️ Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
As you log in via Microsoft 365, you will need to verify your identity the first time you log in (and at regular intervals thereafter). You will be automatically prompted to set up a security method. You can choose between:
- the Microsoft Authenticator app (available free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store – recommended)
- A call to your mobile phone
- An SMS with a one-time code
Have you lost your smartphone or got a new device? To ensure your Microsoft authentication continues to work, your multi-factor authentication (MFA) must be reset by the IT department.
Please send a brief email to IT Support. The relevant staff members will get back to you as soon as possible.
🌐 3. Conflicts with other Microsoft accounts (Private mode)

The problem: If you are already logged in on your computer with a personal Microsoft account or an account from another employer or school, your browser will often automatically try to use that account for E-Campus. This inevitably results in an error message.
The solution: Use your browser’s InPrivate or Incognito mode. In this mode, the browser ignores all previously saved passwords and accounts.
How to open a private window:
- Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge: Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + N (Mac: Cmd + Shift + N).
- Mozilla Firefox: Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + P (Mac: Cmd + Shift + P).
- Apple Safari: From the menu, select File > New Private Window.
In this new private window, go to https://ecampus.srh-university.de/ and try logging in again.
⚠️ 4. Common causes and error messages
If you are still unable to log in, this is usually due to one of the following reasons:
- Incorrect details: Check whether there is a typo in your username or password.
- Account not yet active: Your account may not yet have been fully registered in the system.
- Account blocked: Your account may be temporarily blocked. Common reasons for this include outstanding term fees, unpaid charges or missing documentation (e.g. proof of health insurance upon enrolment).
