"Jugend forscht" inspires at the SRH Campus Heidelberg

Reading Time: 3 Min.

Here’s what it’s all about:

  • 107 young people presented 51 research projects in Heidelberg
  • Topics: AI, sustainability and innovative technical solutions
  • Winning teams qualified for the state competition

51 projects, 107 participants from 15 schools: the regional round of the ‘Jugend forscht’ competition once again turned the SRH Campus Heidelberg into the hub of young science in the Rhine-Neckar region on 24 and 25 February 2026.

Whether sustainable urban development, artificial intelligence or innovative technical solutions – the projects impressively demonstrate the potential for innovation that lies within the region’s schools. The projects were assessed on scientific quality, methodological rigour, degree of innovation and practical relevance.

‘Jugend forscht’ is science promotion in action. Here we see young people engaging intellectually with the challenges of our time – in a disciplined and creative manner, and with a determination to make a real difference.
Prof. Dr Carsten Diener, Vice-Rector of SRH University
