Application and admission

No, you can apply at any time. However, if you need a visa, we recommend that you apply early, at least four months before the start of the semester.

No, there is no NC for our degree programmes. However, we conduct a personal admissions interview to ensure that the degree programme is right for you.

Yes, you can apply for several degree programmes at the same time.

Yes, there are ways to be admitted without an Abitur, e.g. by completing vocational training and gaining professional experience. You can find out more here.

Yes, you can also apply without a diploma if you have not yet completed your studies or graduated from school. Upload your interim certificate instead.

As a rule, you will need a general higher education entrance qualification or an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences. Alternatively, a subject-specific vocational qualification and professional experience may be sufficient. For admission to a Master's degree programme, you need a university or college degree with 180 or 210 ECTS credits. You can find programme-specific requirements on the respective programme pages.

To be admitted to an MBA programme, you need a university or college degree with 180 or 210 ECTS credits and a few years of relevant professional experience after graduation. You can find programme-specific requirements on the respective programme pages.

Language requirements

English-language degree programmes require English language skills at an appropriate level, proven by tests such as TOEFL, IELTS or comparable certificates. You can find more detailed information on the respective degree programme page

Student financing

Study organisation

The summer semester begins on 1 April and the winter semester on 1 October.

Your studies start with an introductory week during which you get to know the campus, your fellow students and your lecturers.

Among other things, you must submit proof of your health insurance, signed study contract documents, notarised degree certificates, a copy of your ID and a passport photo for your student ID.

Yes, a change of degree programme is possible, provided that the previous achievements are equivalent. This will be checked on an individual basis.

Yes, at SRH University you have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad. We offer a large pool of partner universities on all continents that you can choose from. Our International Office will help you organise your stay abroad and coordinate all the details with the partner university. A special advantage: you do not have to pay any additional fees at the partner university during your semester abroad. You only pay the regular SRH University fees.

Our degree programme is very practice-oriented. Practical projects and internships are an integral part of the curriculum in all degree programmes. We work closely with companies and institutions to offer you practically relevant content.

The CORE principle (Competence-Oriented Research and Education) is SRH University's innovative teaching concept, which replaces traditional frontal teaching with practical and competence-orientated learning. Instead of just imparting theoretical knowledge, the focus is on acquiring practical skills. In short, intensive learning blocks, you will work independently and in groups on the course content and apply it directly in projects and case studies. You will be accompanied by the lecturer, who will support you as a coach. The aim of the CORE principle is to optimally prepare you for the demands of the working world by teaching you not only specialised knowledge, but also key skills such as teamwork, problem solving and self-management.

Flexible study and career

Yes, our part-time degree programmes are designed to be so flexible that you can easily combine your studies, career and family. Attendance phases usually take place at the weekend and you can work on a lot of content online. You can find more information here.
