Mastering Business in the World of Sports

Our new Bachelor’s programme, B.A. International Business Administration – specialising in Sports Management, provides a comprehensive academic foundation in business administration.

Students acquire all relevant core competencies of general business studies, including accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, economics, and business law. Building on this foundation, the specialization modules introduce students to the diverse facets of sports management. They gain in-depth insight into the structure and functioning of the sports industry and learn how to apply management principles in a sports context. Key focus areas include the marketing of sports, sponsorship strategies, and brand management, as well as the planning, organization, and execution of sports events. In addition, students develop practical skills to operate in clubs, associations, agencies, and sports-related organizations, preparing them for a dynamic and international career in the sports business.

You also get to choose between:

  • 7 semester- / 3.5-year option (International Experience Track)
  • 6 semester- / 3-year option (Fast Track)

Your degree in Business Administration, specialising in Sports Management

The BA in International Business Administration – Sports Management provides you with a solid grounding in business administration and prepares you for an international career in the sports industry. You will acquire key business management skills, deepen your knowledge of sports management, and be able to apply what you have learnt directly in practical projects and an integrated work placement.

Among other things, you will explore:

  • the fundamentals of the sports business, sports marketing and financial management in sport
  • Sports event management, sponsorship and sports media
  • Practical project work with your fellow students
  • an integrated work placement

The Sports Management specialisation provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the structures and dynamics of the sports industry. You will learn how sports organisations and businesses are successfully managed, how sporting events are planned and delivered, and how marketing, media and financial strategies are applied in sport.

Fast Track or International Experience Track

We offer you the opportunity to complete your degree within 3 or 3.5 years and to tailor it to your own preferences and plans. Choose between:

  • Fast Track | Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
  • International Experience Track | Duration: 3.5 years (7 semesters)

Smart financing

As a state-recognised private university, SRH University is funded by tuition fees. This income is channelled into our campus facilities, student services and quality assurance. In this way, we ensure that you receive the best possible education under optimal study conditions.  

Nationality | EU/EEA (including Switzerland, the Western Balkans and Ukraine)

  • International Experience Track (7 semesters)
    – Heidelberg: 750 € per month
  • Fast Track (6 semesters)
    – Heidelberg: 840 € per month

Nationality | Non-EU/EEA

  • International Experience Track (7 semesters)
    – Heidelberg: 5.100 € per semester
  • Fast Track (6 semesters)
    – Heidelberg: 5.500 € / semester

The tuition fee (per month/per semester) remains the same throughout the entire duration of your studies. A one-off registration fee of €750 (EU/EEA) / €1,000 (non-EU/EEA) is charged. 

A goal-oriented degree course requires not only efficient organisation but also a solid financial foundation to cover rent, living costs and tuition fees. There are various funding options available, such as student loans or scholarship programmes.

Entry requirements and application

Authorisation

You can apply at any time via our  online portal  with no obligation. We will then review your application documents and invite you to a personal interview. 

To apply for the Bachelor’s degree programme in International Business Administration – Sportsmanagement, you will need: 

  • A certificate of general university entrance qualification or a certificate of entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
  • Alternatively, a vocational qualification may also grant you entry*
  • Proof of English language proficiency*
  • CV with a recent passport-sized photograph
  • A copy of your identity document (front and back); for international students, a copy of your passport or national identity card

* If you do not meet the English language requirements, you may alternatively take the ‘SRH English Proficiency Certificate’ test. (Further information here)

* Professionally qualified applicants without a university entrance qualification who have completed at least two years’ vocational training and have at least three years’ professional experience may also be eligible to study a specific degree programme by passing an aptitude test.   3. If you are successful in the interview, we will send you an offer of place and the student contract
  4. You sign the study contract and return it to us
  5. You pay the enrolment fee
  6. We’ll issue your letter of admission
  7. You’ll take part in our induction week, and then you’re all set to begin!
