Here’s what it’s all about:
35 business administration graduates returned to the Heidelberg campus to mark their 20th anniversary. As well as catching up with old friends, the day centred on gaining insights into the university’s development, sharing memories and looking ahead to the future of the alumni network.
The anniversary celebrations began with a champagne reception in the foyer of the Heidelberg campus. Julia Beck from Alumni Relations Management welcomed the guests and opened the programme. Christian Müller, Director of the Business and Law School, then provided fascinating insights into the development of SRH University over the past 20 years. The focus was on the changes and developments at the Business and Law School, as well as the importance of a strong alumni network for the university. A special retrospective provided a personal touch: Christian Müller began his career at SRH University 23 years ago, back then as a person performing community service. This means he shares a unique common starting point at the university with many alumni.

To mark the anniversary, all alumni received a personalised commemorative certificate. A prize draw for the longest journey also helped to create a lively atmosphere: one alumnus travelled all the way from New York especially for the occasion, whilst other guests came from Switzerland, Munich and the Heidelberg area, amongst other places. This willingness to travel such long distances was a striking demonstration of the importance that the reunion and the sense of connection to SRH University still hold, even after two decades.
At the champagne reception that followed, there was plenty of time for personal conversations, catching up on professional and personal developments, and sharing memories of their student days. At the same time, new connections were forged within the alumni network, and many expressed a desire to stay in touch in the future.
The event concluded with an evening out together in Heidelberg’s Old Town. After the official programme, the group first headed to Vetter’s and then on to the Tangente. In a relaxed atmosphere, stories from their student days were brought back to life and new memories were made.

The Alumni Relations Management team would like to extend its warmest thanks to all former students who made this anniversary such a special occasion. Special thanks go to Nadja von Ow for organising the reunion, as well as to all those who took part (including, by way of example, Florian Gallon, Isabella Weidenhammer, Maik Bellemann, Dominik Rainer, Anton Loncarek, Nina Anne Daub, Sandra Kaupa, Ron Sommer, Boris Fillenberg, Alexander Groß, Florian Kley) and many other alumni.
We are delighted that you have found your way back to your alma mater – and look forward to seeing you again soon!
