Fundamentals of engineering, digital tools and practical project skills

The curriculum of the Chemical Engineering degree programme combines the fundamentals of natural sciences with engineering design and practice-oriented problem-solving. You will first acquire fundamental knowledge in mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science before moving on to key engineering topics. These include thermodynamics, mass and energy balances, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering and process control.

Practical learning includes, amongst other things, laboratory experiments, process calculations, engineering design projects, process simulation, plant design, and safety and environmental management. You will learn to analyse and optimise industrial processes, assess energy and material efficiency, and develop solutions for sustainable production and resource recovery. Depending on the approved curriculum, optional modules and practical projects may cover topics such as recycling, renewable energies, waste treatment and applications of the circular economy.

The programme combines theoretical knowledge with practice-oriented engineering skills relevant to the modern chemical industry and process engineering.

Smart financing

As a state-recognised private university, SRH University is funded by tuition fees. This income is channelled into our campus facilities, student services and quality assurance. In this way, we ensure that you receive the best possible education under optimal study conditions.

Tuition fees

  • Citizenship | EU/EEA (incl. Switzerland, Western Balkans and Ukraine): €950 / month
  • Citizenship | non-EU/EEA: €5,450 / semester

The monthly fee remains the same throughout your studies. The one-off enrolment fee is €750.00.

If you are from a non-EEA country without a residence permit, the enrolment fee is €1,000 – you must pay the tuition fees for one semester in advance. From the second semester onwards, payments for the remaining semesters are due six weeks before the end of the study period for which payment has already been made. Payments must be made on a semesterly basis.

Apart from any placement, aptitude or equivalence tests that may be required, no separate examination fees or similar charges are levied, not even for resits. This ensures maximum cost transparency throughout your studies.

A goal-oriented degree course requires not only efficient organisation but also a solid financial foundation to cover rent, living costs and tuition fees. There are various funding options available, such as student loans or scholarship schemes.

We have compiled a list of all the funding options for you.
