Teaching and mentoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering within the School of Technology and Architecture.
Research in computational pathology, virtual staining, deformable image registration, and weakly supervised whole slide image analysis. Supervised M.Sc. and B.Sc. theses and co-advised Ph.D. research.
Teaching data science and computer science related courses in online higher education with large student cohorts and supervising master’s theses.
Founded an AI-enabled virtual staining platform for digital pathology; led innovation, IP evaluation, and translational development toward regulation-ready clinical workflows.
Conducted research on AI for medical image segmentation and virtual staining in biomedical imaging applications.
Worked on single-cell segmentation and tracking in microstructured environments using deep learning methods including U-Net.
Contributed to research and academic collaboration in bioinspired communication systems and medical image analysis.
Taught courses in electronics, image processing, computer vision, signal processing, and related engineering subjects; supervised B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. projects.
Worked on machine learning methods for multiple sclerosis lesion detection from multimodal MRI data.
Developed GPU-accelerated algorithms for fMRI analysis and biomedical imaging applications.
Conducted teaching and research in electronics, computer vision, and applied AI before promotion to Associate Professor.
